Chanoyu

Chanoyu was a project focused on capturing the serenity and tradition of tea culture through an editorial photography lens. Set against the backdrop of Sydney, Australia, the imagery aims to slow down the viewer, emphasizing texture, light, and the quiet ritual of preparation. My objective was to document not just the product, but the meditative atmosphere that surrounds it, resulting in a series that feels calm, composed, and highly intentional.

My approach involved working with natural, soft lighting to accentuate the subtle details of the environment and the craftsmanship involved in the tea service.
